Transparency in Recruitment
The economics of a country also influences the recruitment industry. The reason why transparency is a demanding factor in today’s recruitment industry is the consequences of making things complex. These complexities and keeping corporate secrets is leading to a bad hire. A transparent recruitment process may increase the workload for the recruiters but it’s totally worth it. The transparent recruitment process ensures the company is hiring the right person at the right time with the right salary and benefits. It also ensures providing him/her the right chances of success and growth.
With every passing day, this digital era is making the candidates more powerful than ever in the recruitment industry. Where the candidates are in desperate need of top hiring firms, the companies are also dependent and seeking for talented candidates. It takes both in account with it comes to loyalty and transparency to make this industry efficient. Monetary values are the only thing an employee expects from companies, there are many other factors to count on. Transparency is the only thing which can break the barrier between companies and employees and make a trustable and faithful professional environment between the both.
Accountable for Transparency:
The companies should be accountable for the transparency factors. That is something they owe to the employees. Transparency at candidate’s end means to be honest with the benefits, salary, and allowances offered at the time of appointment. The transparent system doesn’t need any corporate secrecy. Every benefit or compensation offered to any employee should be clear and upfront. This builds the trust level over the company and the loyalties of the employees will be developed which ultimately leads to more productivity in work.
Shut Down the Back-door Hiring:
The back-door hiring is been a common practice in some companies. Shortcuts are adopted to get an appointment for a non-deserving candidate. The jobs are appointing on resources and references. In some cases, the recruiters are offered with favor in cash or in another form to get appointed to a position. This leads to knocking down the deserving candidates. Who is accountable for the efficiency measures of the recruitment process of such organizations? As a result, the appointed person has no idea about the framework, culture, and values of the company. What could be expected in terms of work, passion, and dedication from a person who is hired from the back door? This pulls down the entire organization’s performance level. This backdoor recruitment is not only destroying the career of deserving potential candidates but also damaging the company’s reputation and quality of work in it. Those organizations where reference appointments take over the company’s goals cannot excel in the longer run.
Transparency pays off
There should be some auditing system measuring the efficiency of the recruitment process. The shortcuts and unethical ways of appointments in this system are disheartening the new talent. New talent is certainly the future of the recruitment industry. This injustice and lack of opportunities are developing hopelessness and frustration towards a career. Where the jobless potential young talent is leading because of the lack of transparency? Its ethical responsibility of the organizations to include this issue in their circle of concern. Organizations need to understand the fact that transparency is not only candidate’s benefit oriented thing. This has to do a lot more beyond candidate’s right. Implementing a transparent recruiting system will pay off the company in the longer run. In terms of interest level and how passionate employees are towards the company goals. The result of the hiring process tends to be as fruitful as the cost, energy and time consumed in the process. It’s better worth it.
